Sol: Given i1 = 2 A ; i2 = 3 A

r = 10 cm = 10 × 10-2 m ; l2 = 5 cm

(a) B = (μ0 i1)/2πr

= (2 × 10-7 × 2)/(10 × 10-2 )

= 4 × 10-6 Tesla

(b) F = (μ0 i1 i2)/2πr × l2

= 2 × 10-7 × (2 × 3)/(10 × 10-2 ) × 5 × 10-2

= 6 × 10-7 N.
